Revenues by division
Our divisional structure is based on three complementary and synergistic activities: corporate and investment banking, in which we are market leaders in Italy, with an established footprint in other countries; retail banking, in which we were pioneers in Italy; and asset management and private banking, sectors in which we intend to invest further, including through targeted acquisitions.
NEW DIVISIONAL SEGMENTATION
In order to seize these opportunities for growth, the 2016-2019 strategic plan provides for a new wealth management division to be set up. This new division will leverage on the affluent and premier clientèle of CheBanca!, launched in 2008 as a multi-channel bank and in the process of being definitively repositioned as wealth manager. The division will also include Banca Esperia, now 100%-owned as of November 2016, plus the activities of various companies acquired in recent years (Barclays, Cairns Capital, Compagnie Monégasque de Banque and Ram AI). Our retail activities will be focused on consumer credit through Compass Banca.
Currently our revenues are split between corporate/principal investing (approx 40%) and retail/private (approx 60%). Revenues from equity investments refer chiefly to the 13% stake in Assicurazioni Generali (which is equity-accounted).
